Lovely place, great food, brilliant people. Excellent staff knowledge. Amazing value for money. Fantastic location off N2. Great pool area. Welcoming reception staff. Excellent ranger, saw 4 of the big 5. Small private reserve, like a zoo but perfect for a starter safari. Well-organized lodge, quick check-in, ranger took us to the room, informative safari, attentive service. Nice restaurant, quality food. Game drives give tourists opportunity to see animals in Cape region. Worth it.

I gotta say, the value for money at this place is unbeatable. The room was top-notch, like straight out of a safari dream. The location was great too, immersed in nature with beautiful gardens and a refreshing pool. And the staff? Absolute rockstars. They treated us like family from the moment we arrived.
The breakfast selection could've been a bit better.

I recently stayed at Garden Route Game Lodge for a few nights and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. The game drives, although not the most beautiful, were made up for by the knowledgeable guides who provided interesting information about the animals. The restaurant served delicious food at both dinner and breakfast. The chalet overlooking the waterhole was a great spot to see hippos and the local cheetahs stole my heart. I highly recommend this place for its quality game drives, facilities, and food.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

Had a fantastic Christmas stay here. the accommodation was cozy and well-furnished with a fireplace and a private balcony overlooking a waterhole, which was amazing to wake up to. the staff were attentive and the food was delicious, with a buffet offering a wide variety of options. the game drives were excellent, with knowledgeable guides who provided in-depth information about the animals and the surrounding wildlife. We were lucky enough to see all of the big 5 and more. the lodge's location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful scenery and rugged terrain.
The steep and uneven steps leading up to the rooms above the pool, which could be dangerous. we experienced some wet tours due to the weather, but we still managed to see all the animals we hoped for.

Had an amazing experience on the safari game drives, seeing all the Big Five animals up close. the guide was knowledgeable and made the experience fun with his stories. the lodge rooms were cozy and comfortable, providing a relaxing stay. the buffet dinner was delicious, with a variety of tasty dishes to choose from.
The hotel lacked supervision around the pool areas, which was frustrating as other guests hogged the adult pool, and young children were allowed to bathe naked. the hotel atmosphere during meal times was ruined by young children running around and being disruptive, making it difficult to enjoy a peaceful meal.
